In this installment of Ideas Uncut, we hear from Ken Kamiya. Ken is a papaya farmer from Oahu in Hawaii. Ken has been in the Hawaiian Papaya industry long enough to give us a great overview of the whole history of the Papaya in Hawaii.

Ken was also a key member of the team that developed the Rainbow Papaya, which is Genetically Engineered to resist a disease called Ringspot Virus. Ken tells us how the Rainbow Papaya was key to saving the Hawaiian Papaya industry from Ringspot Virus, and gives us some insight into the public's perceptions of "GMO" technology.
